Golf trophies recognise skill, determination and love of the game

Golf is a sport which requires skill, accuracy, patience and determination to excel at it. Players are rewarded for winning major tournaments with prestigious golf trophies, but there are lots of different kinds of golf trophies, at professional, or amateur level. For instance, even at the top level of the game, the golf trophies for majors vary from silverware, to the green jacket awarded to winners of the Masters.

Golf trophies vary significantly even at lower levels of the game as can be seen by the variety available from manufacturers like CJ Trophies. They include silverware such as cups, salvers and medals, to statues featuring golfers in action, framed photographs of famous golf courses and engraved wooden plaques and shields. Although not so common at the professional levels of the game, the statue trophy featuring a golfer in mid-swing is a popular trophy for amateur tournaments, Again like other types of golf trophies, these are made of a variety of materials - including bronze, resin and pewter.

In fact the other major point when it comes to golf trophies is the materials used to make the different ones. Alongside the aforementioned ones, there are also wooden shields and plaques with gold or silver leaf centre pieces for engraved messages or winners names. There are also crystal glass golf trophies, again often with the appropriate text engraved into them. Sometimes this may be the name of the winner of a particular tournament, but at other times golf trophies may be awarded for other reasons.

Clubs often award golf trophies as gifts to long-serving members or, at other times, they are given to golfers as gifts by friends or family. These types of golf trophies are usually different from those awarded for actual victories., often having a practical use - such as clocks, bookends or table lamps, with golfing themes.
